The Meteorological College is an auxiliary organ of the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), providing education and training for JMA employees.

It runs the Collegiate Education Course and the JMA Staff Training Course.

The Collegiate Education Course is a four-year program providing work-ready graduates as future executives and senior staff at JMA. It is designed to develop human resources engaged with technological development, planning and leadership in JMA weather service operations. Students passing the Meteorological College Entrance Exam take earth science and other basic/specialist subjects as well as focused practical subjects in areas such as meteorological services and disaster prevention, and also engage in internships at JMA Headquarters and Local Meteorological Offices.

The JMA Staff Training Course provides off-the-job programs for local JMA personnel, either in person or online.
