Overview
The Meteorological College is an auxiliary organ of the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), providing education and training for JMA employees.
Organizational Structure
Two-fold education system
Collegiate Education Course
- Four-year collegiate education to produce work-ready staff
- 15 students in each grade (total 60)
- 26 full-time faculties providing one-on-one training
- Focus on progression to JMA executive or senior staff status
Staff Training Course
- Off-the-job training based on workplace roles and areas of expertise
