JMA Staff Training

The Meteorological College provides the JMA Staff Training Course, which provides off-the-job training in-person and online for staff from local JMA offices and elsewhere in multi-disciplinary and specialized forms.

Multi-disciplinary training highlights the fundamental expertise necessary for JMA staff to implement meteorological services, as well as opportunities for national networking.

Specialized training teaches comprehensive techniques needed by local experts in various areas and develops management skills essential for local senior staff.

Training plans are reviewed annually by JMA executives at Staff Training Board Meetings.
